Samsung to Launch Galaxy S8 with Al-Powered Virtual Assistant
Korean Company Samsung states it will offer a simulated aptitude assistant service in the forthcoming flagship smartphone Galaxy S8. The company is also seeking recovery from its global Galaxy Note 7 recall.
Samsung said in a statement, the next flagship Galaxy S8 will permit consumers to order food or complete other tasks without going through a third-party application but by simple asking the smartphone’s virtual assistant. The mock intelligence service will also be available in Samsung’s other consumer electronics products such as refrigerators.
The company refused to reveal what exact tasks the Galaxy S8 device will carry out during its artificial intelligence trait. The next flagship is expected to unveil in the first quarter of the next year it has typically done in the past. The company supposes that Galaxy S8 will be recover all lost that company bear due to the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. Samsung approximates it lost $5.3 billion when it discontinued the Note 7 model.
The big difference between existing digital assistant and the new is it will offer ‘open AI platform’, means the third-party developers will be able to offer their services through Samsung's AI platform.
Samsung's statement says that, “Our Galaxy device don't offer services that allow consumers to order pizza or coffee, but does give third party applications. But the new AI platform will enable consumers to do things that they would usually do through a separate third party application.”
Moreover, New Zealand mobile netwrork carriers will discontine their network services to Note 7 consumers from November 18.
